    Default Bios settings for i7 920 D0 @3.8

I built my rig the other day as well as did a little investigate on the web about overclocking the i7 920 as well as went ahead and did so @ 3.66 GHz (allegedly the sweet spot). I have the D0 revision i7 920, the rest of hardware is in Sig. I just required to ask you people if there are any bios settings I should change.

    AI Overclockers Tuner: [Manual]
    CPU Ratio: [20]
    Speed-step: [disabled]
    BLCK Frequency: [183]-or[190]
    PCIE Frequency: [100]
DRAM Frequency: [DDR3-1467 MHz] [not sure i think 1500 something]
UCLK Frequency: [Auto]-Should I change this to highest?
QPI Link Data Rate: [Auto] -Should I change this also?

    DRAM Settings:
    7-7-7-24

DRAM CAS # Latency: [7 DRAM Clock]
DRAM RAS # to CAS # Delay: [7 DRAM Clock]
DRAM RAS # PRE Time: [24 DRAM Clock]
Everything else in RAM settings [Auto]

    Voltages:
Vcore [1.175]--I think i could go lower, stable at this tho [1.20] for 3.8
    CPU PLL Voltage: [Auto]
    QPI/DRAM Core Voltage: [1.25] --changed this 2 [1.20]
    DRAM Bus: [1.64]
    CPU PLL: [1.82]
    Rest on auto

    CIE Support: [Disabled]
    Load-Line Calibration: [Auto]
    CPU Differential Amplitude: [Auto]
    CPU Clock Skew: [Auto]
    CPU Spread Spectrum: [Disabled]
    IOH Clock Skew: [Auto]
    PCIE Spread Spectrum: [Disabled]
Hyperthreading: [Disabled]-no performance gain in games as of yet. + it adds 5-10c more...

I've seen clients with 1.25vcore as well as hitting 4GHz if that’s what you are aiming for. Good job man. I think that RAM is helping a lot too because those are great settings.

Go for 4GHz! I have mainly the similar core system, got 4GHz on 1.23Vcore; you may be able to get it somewhat lower though. Not that it matters, but it will bring your RAM up to a nice pretty 1600.

I wouldn't be anxious about shortening the life, as long as you keep the temperatures in check.
