Thread: Overclocking my Crossfire ATI HD4850's for Crysis

Basically I'm trying to run Crysis with as minimal lag as possible on 1280x800 and all High Graphics with no AA. I've been messing around with the settings of both Crysis and my Catalyst Control Center's Overdrive so I can play this game with out much lag, but no matter what I do I cannot seem to get great game play even though I've seen people playing Crysis much more smoothly on the same or even better settings than mine with the same GPU. My current computer Specs are;

ASRock Mobo with 2 PCI express x16 2.0 slots

700W power Supply

AMD Phenom X4 Agena 9600 2.35Ghz

CROSSFIRE Sapphire ATI HD4850 512MB and XFX ATI HD4850 512MB

8.00 GB of Corsair DDR2 800Mhz

1TB Western Digital 7200RPM hard drive.

If you could test your computer with 3DMark06, that would be great and would help me see what's wrong with your setup.After you test it post up all the scores; overall 3dmarks, SM2.0, HDR/SM3.0, CPU that would help.

Your cpu is seriously bottlenecking your graphics card. I seriously doubt that 9600 at 2.35 GHz can even keep up with 1 4850, let alone 2.

yeah i got a Phenom 550 and one xfx 4850 1gb on crysis runs on 1440x900 on medium i get 40+ frames no aa and on high i get around 30 or something like that i cant remember.
