Those who have used both Intel and AM2 platforms will know that over clocking results can differ vastly between two. Here explained so that AM2 users can know what to expect from this memory. The sticks were ready in dual channel configuration on the below set up.

The test bed:

• DFI Lanparty UT NF590 (nForce 590 SLI based)
• AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ AM2
• Gainward 7300GT
* 2x1GB OCZ Platinum Series PC2-4200 EB (533MHz 3-2-2-8)
• Windows XP-64
• WD 74GB Raptor

I was unable to give more than 2.2V; certainly indicating that problem was in sticks, and not the board. Also I was not able to POST at a tRP or tRCD of 2 on this board.

However 2T does cause a major performance loss, it did permit me to overclock this memory to amazingly high levels. Actually, I was able to obtain Super Pi 1M stability at 1000MHz, though we could not past 32M at higher than 996MHz. Though I would have to say being within 7% of magic 100% overclock is nothing to roar at. 1T, though, offered less than remarkable clocks, being topped by Intel set up at each timing level.
