    1) Few specifications details of this processor. It has Core etched in 0.18 micron aluminum or copper based on frequency. It Works on motherboards set with socket A. L1 Cache is 128KB and L2 Cache is 256 KB running at processor frequency. Transition to 256 KB of L2 cache is equal to 256 KB of Copermine Pentium III, Pentium III. AMD follows improvements from Intel, as improving product.

    2) Thunderbird is not as well recognized for its performance for overclocking. Initially it runs on 100MHz bus with multiplier of 9. Though when we attached L1 bridges, which can modify multiplier, CPU checked successfully, pass with multiplier of 11, and so get frequency of 1100 MHz processor. For this he still was needed to raise voltage from 0.1 V and 1.75 V to 1.85 V, which is max voltage for many motherboards for Socket A current.

    3) AMD Thunderbird 900 MHz processor is quality that provides good performance, for office software, but also for games. Processor FPU is powerful and moving at 256 KB of L2 cache on die still now update performance evaluated to earlier generations of Athlons. The 900 MHz version presents benefits available at realistic price.

    4) Also this processor supports overclocking fine, not to amount that Duron, but from 900 MHz to 1100 MHz without altering bus frequency. What unexpected you will optimize memory settings (CAS2). Supply of motherboards for Thunderbird / Duron is increasing slowly and motherboard companies make obtainable new BIOS enabling right defaults for these cards.
