Default Crossfire on 16 xs or 4 xs

I want better crossfire support for my computer. Initially I decided to go for ATi Radeon 5770 x2 on Crossfire. But the prize is very high. I have a 4850 card in my system which I want to stay to the side. If the same will fit my requirement then I will go for the new one. Please give me proper solution as soon as possible. Any help would be highly appreciated.

The 5770 1GB version is similar to the 4870 to around 3-4%. Also, prize is nearly same. You should know that the 5770 heats less and eat less. Also, the possibility of making it a true Crossfire racing machine on the not expensive that provides the equal of 5870.
