Thread: overclocking a ati radeon x1650 pro?

can any 1 tell me what settings you would recomend for over clocking my x1650 pro safely?

overclocking is not safe unless you have an efficiant cooling system and you know what you are doing.

overclocking safely? is there such thing. even the smallest overclock carries a little risk and can void warrenty'sbest advice would be to overclock in small increments and to test it with a benchmark after each stage, but dont come running to me if it breaks.the bloke above is also wrong, watercooling just helps you overclock more efficiently because the gpu is cooled more effectivly but the risk remains the same.

download ATI tool. and just increase the core and memory by a couple of mhz at the time and then click "scan for artifacts" if you've pushed it to far you will see errors. all cards are different so its hard to say how much you will get out of it. just take your time.
