Thread: Need Help on GeCube Radeon X1550!?

I accidentally tried to Overclock my GeCube Radeon X1550 256MB Graphics card without knowing the Default settings of my Card . First this is how it goes, I tried overclocking my card with ATI Tool without knowing what I was doing. Now I've been expiriencing some Lag when I play games so I need this Answer on ..Whats my Graphics Card (GeCube Radeon X1550 256MB) Default Settings?Whats the Core Clock and Memory Clock Mhz? I urgently need this Answer ..OR!Is there a way to Undo this? I've reinstalled ATITool and now, The Default settings where my Overclocked settings .. Will Reinstalling my Driver Undo it?To bigradi0... Thanks for it but .. Why am I missing the Overdrive at my CCC? I have the latest version!

open Catalyst Control Center (comes installed with the driver) and make sure that u r in advanced mod (if u r in basic mode u will find a button with the name "advanced"when u r advanced mode open the "overdrive" tab then press defaults and then press OKthis will return the card to the default clock

first competely uninstall the card by add/remove hardware then the sotware add/remove programs then reinsatall both. If you physically moved/changed a jumper on the video card then put it back to original pins.

First thing, never overclock with out thoroughly doing your research. It's a good way to kill your hardware, if you don't know what your doing.

I'm thinking you didn't do a driver level overclock, and instead did a bios level OC, which means it's written to your card. Throw ATi Tool back on, and set your clocks to 550mhz for the core, and 400mhz for the ram.

Also, the x1550 to my knowledge, doesn't support Overdrive. I have a Sapphire x1550 pci-e 512mb, and have yet to see or read anything stating the x1550 has overdrive support. Of coarse, knowing my luck, Sapphire punked out, and I just don`t have support for it.

The most likely reason your experiencing lag in-game, is due to heat. Overclocking without proper cooling will overheat your hardware, and bog it down. The only other reason I can think of (assuming your using agp), is that your bottlenecking at the agp bus, or you don't have enough voltage.

Do the research, you'll learn all about that, and you'll be better off in the long run.
