    Default Over regulator my motherboard Q6600?

    hi i have just erect my new pc and i am wonder about over clocking the cpu
    i have never ready it before and i no nil about it so could some one give me some opinion on whether it is worth doing and if it is how to do it delight.

    Do you know the step, B3 or G0? you can use CPUZ to tell you this. The the majority ordinary way is to up the FSB little at a tim

    Yeah, up the FSB. If it is B3, you possibly want to get an after-market heat sink, since as the Q6600 B3 runs very hot.

    i downloaded CPUZ and it says step B and review GO my heatsink is a Thermalright SI-128 CPU Cooler with a 120mm fan and my cpu idles among 17.0c and 23.0c depending on the stand in in the room

    Apparently you can over regulator a 6600 to 3ghz with stock cooling.
