A Bus is a set of wires from which data is transfer starting one part of a PC to another. While used in mention to PC, the phrase bus typically refers to internal bus. This is a bus that connects all the inner PC parts to the central processing unit and core memory. There's as well an extension bus that enables extension boards to access the CPU & memory.

    Bus has two parts
Address bus and a data bus. The data bus transmits real data while the address bus transmits information to where to save data.

    The volume of a bus
Known as its width, is significant since it determines how much data can be transferred at single time. For instance, a 16-bit bus can transfer 16 bits of data, a 32-bit bus is able to transfer 32 bits of data, and a 64-bit bus is able to transfer 64 bits of data.
