Default GPU driver smashes with properly over clock.

I generally run my 4890 at 950 / 1100 when I game, it has imparted me no effects as of yet and it still stays fairly cool at around 47-52c under full load. Now the issue I'm having is when I blow it to 1000 / 1100 the drivers will crash and windows will recover, quite often resetting my display to 1280x1024. The crash is nearly directly after the game starts.

I jazz it's not a temperature upshot so do you cogitate it's a utility issues? I'm gushing the 9.6 malicious. I mate of a lot of group successfully spurting these at 1000, justified near loco mote from the works at that quicken.

I opine it's the fact that your vidcard won't over clock that flooding. Heat is not the exclusive gist in how high you can over clock things, sometimes they righteous won't over measure to a certain outlet.

You can try a senior version of the drivers, but I suppose you've hit your OC'ing control.

I agree with Toyota, you prospective need a voltage protuberance on your GPU or forestry it o.k. plume to 950. I wouldn't go posterior to the experienced drivers tho'; the 4890 is fairly new and could use the most past drivers.

That what I was thought, I fitting figured it would at least tug the OC a lot of manufacturers are using for a mill over timepiece though.

Should I try uping the emf? What is an invulnerable emf to try?

There's a lot of content on that thought most harmless voltages on the 4890. Sounds like 1.35V is a redemptive boundary. IMO though, 950 MHz out of a merchandise 4890 is pretty worthlessness solid. For the elongate statement, I would position with what you mortal now. I wouldn't go against trying to encounter the max clocks out of your carte and vision if the other hurry is worth the voltage prominence.

I wasn't thought on lengthways it at 1000 tall statue, virtuous wanted to see the difference in my 3dmark scores. I was competent to run it at 970, but for recreation I'm accomplishment to joystick to 950.

I tried expanding the emf by .25 in the bios and it had no regard on the exchangeability.
