Default How to overclock intel i5 2400

I currently purchased a latest Intel core i5 2400 processor as I was in find in such a processor from which I can acquire the excellent and high function rate. But I am even not satisfied with the function rate I am acquiring with i5 processor. Yesterday one of my friends told that I can even gain the velocity and performance of my central processing unit through overclocking it but like me still he is fully unaware with the concept of overclocking. So just I require your help, can anyone let me the procedure for overclocking my central processing unit? And is it well to overclock my latest central processing unit?

Assume it as an suggestion or a dissuasive, but I would advice you not to overclock your central processing unit as you can not overclock it much over your expectation. You can increase the BCLK a small bit but not much on intel core i5 2400. If you are really willing to overclock your central processing unit then why do not you purchase a K example? It will help you a lot in overclocking.

So at previous I am at the right area. I already have an Intel core i5 2400 processor and I am testing to overclock it since previous 1 week. For this I purchased a fresh coolermaster v8 central processing unit cooler so that I can overclock my central processing unit in a more convenient way. My i5 processor is linked to P67A-UDiiiR gigabyte CPU board. I just needed to familiar that how can I overclock manually. Whenever I go into MIT setting in the bios, it tells that the BLCK is disabled but as per my experience the BLCK is at 100 MHz and the clock ratio is at x31.

It is so unfortunate to tell you that 2400 comes up with a locked multiplier. Just the only way you can overclock your processor is through setting the base frequency. But I would urge you not to test adjusting it. But even it is potential to set and alter the base clock frequency so slightly through less causing complete system instability. I do not imagine that the advantage or the increase you would acquire would not be valuable the system instability later setting the base clock frequency.

I have a fresh intel core i5 2400 processor. Have few questions. I require some suggestion regarding overclocking. It is that when I go to advanced setting I can see the turbo core which lists entire the cores from 1 to 3 which are x34, x33, x33 and x32. Now I needed to increase my frequency up slowly not only on one but on entire cores. Just my question is that how can I do it, that too securely through keeping everything stable.

The only way I familiar to overclock an i5 2400 processor is either through sets the BCLK/FSB or the turbo boost. Most of my friends acquire a nice overclocking through setting the turbo frequency at maximum. If you need a high velocity maximum overclocking then you should have purchased 2500k processor with an unlocked multiplier.
