Default Canon LBP Five Thousand printer is not compatible with windows 64-bit drivers

I am utilizing the Canon LBP5000 printer and I am functioning windows XP for printing as I listened that windows 7 and windows vista does not realize the 64bit driver for this printers , someone having the data whether canon going to be freed the new 64bit driver for this printers or not so I can utilizing the vista mode to print functions , I am going to continue with windows XP just if the canon not going to do anything with the 64bit drivers because this is actually good printer , but i hope canon will do something for this 64 bit driver.

I am confronting the same trouble as I have bought this Canon LBP5000 printer 6 months before , and I am utilizing it for my functions but the vista 64bit unable to realize the driver and because of this just my printer does not function , just I need to familiar that whether any driver has been freed through canon or not so I can set up it , because this so frustrating for me to purchase a fresh printer rather of the one I have which is only 6 months former , if anyone having the data about the new drivers freed through the canon for vista 64 bit then please suggest me.

I familiar that this canon LBP5000 Printer is not functioning with the vista 64 or still with the windows 7, and I imagine the canon just extend a vista 32bit driver and there is no 64bit driver present so you can download it for your windows 7 or vista

I believe you should test to download the vista 32bit drivers on your PC and then test to print utilizing the vista mode with this canon example because few of the canon model is compatible with the64bit driver I am not confirm about this but you can once test it out I desire so this will functioned for you.

There is no 64bit driver is in build for the windows 7 OS from canon, but if you need vista 64bit driver so you have to acquire the other example of canon , you should purchase the Canon i-SENSYS LBP536 printer this is really an excellent printer since I am utilizing it from 3 months , this example runs upto 22 pages each minute and you will acquire the 64bit driver for windows XP as well as windows Vista ,and if you does not purchase the fresh one then you can only stick with the windows xp with the canon LBP5000 example this one is too a excellent printer from canon and you can wait for the new driver update .

I would wish to recommend you that rather of purchasing the fresh example you only utilize the XP mode to print functions while utilizing the canon example you have and if you need more data on the 64bit driver regarding your canon LPB5000 model then you should test to contact with the canon client services either through calling or e-mailing them.
