Toughpower XT is a line of modular power supplies, also present for some time on the market, which was recently updated with an increment of 25W per model: initially with versions from 650W, 750W and 850W, now includes three variants of 675W, 775W and 875W. Toughpower Series Thermaltake XT is the proposal designed for gamers, since it can handle without any problem configurations based on multi-GPU technology NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire, and, more generally, for so-called "PC enthusiast" who refuse to compromise when selecting the hardware components.

Exploiting the same principle is already used in the automotive field and in the high-end projectors, the generous 14cm fan, whose power is supplied, off-delay switch-off compared to the electronic circuit, which continues to operate for a further period of time, following the shutdown, which reaches up to 30 seconds. This will greatly improve the dissipation of latent heat into the enclosure, ultimately reducing the stress of electronic components.

On the supply side area there are three LEDs that monitor power supply work, and in particular the standby state, that of PG Signal (Power Good Signal ") and the operating temperature. In the case of malfunctions, the color of the LED changes from green to red, alerting the user and simplifying the diagnosis of technicians To ensure the best possible compatibility with systems with high-speed peripherals, the Toughpower series XT is designed with a single line to +12 V. The solid capacitors, made in Japan, which the PSU has superior performance in terms of operational stability, overcoming the traditional ones made of just when the power required by the load becomes significant.
