There are special pages within the memory of the printer that will help you to diagnose and learn about problems with your printer. One such page is Test Page. A Test Page contains printer's software details (driver and other software) and it helps you in determining the status printer and connection between computer and printer. If printer prints the Test Page correctly then connection is OK otherwise there is need to troubleshoot the printer. Let us now undertake the following steps and learn to print a Test Page.

1. Move the mouse-pointer over the Start button and click on it. A push-up menu appears.

2. Inside push-up menu, move the mouse-pointer over the Control Panel option and click the left mouse-button.

3. A Control Panel window appears. Move the mouse-pointer over the Printer and Faxes icon and double-click the left mouse-button.

4. A list of Various printers installed on your computer appear. Move the mouse-pointer over the icon of desired printer and click the right mouse-button. A shortcut menu appears.

5. Inside shortcut menu, move the mouse-pointer over the Properties option and click the left mouse-button.

6. A Properties dialog box of selected printer appears.

7. Move the mouse-pointer over the Print Test Page button and click the left mouse-button. Printer starts printing the test page.
