An inkjet printer contains a control panel (buttons), couple of trays to feed papers and collect printouts and cartridges. Earlier versions of inkjet printer uses two cartridges - one for black color printing and another one for color printing. Newer printers make use of only one cattridge.
The control panel
The control panel of inkjerprinter (and all other types of printer) contains few buttons. Using these buttons you can turn on or off the printer, cancel or tesume a printing job. Shape and function of buttons is almost same in different models of inkjet printers. Let us now leam about control panel buttons.
1. Cancel button:
Press this button to cancel current printing job.
2. Cartridge Status light:
This light indicates the status of cartridges. If this light blinks. the cartridge needs service urgently.
3. Resume button and light:
The resume light flashes when an action is required such as loading paper or clearing paper jam. When problem is solved. press the resume button to continue printing.
4. Power button:
Use this button to turn on or off the printer. A light (usually green) next to the power button flashes during printing process
