EPson's Stylus TX10l is a basic multi-function device aimed towards first-time buyers or students who would not need functions like faxing or network printing. Priced at Rs 3,699, this entry-level MFD is worth a buy and would appeal to the masses who want high printing quality at low cost.

The TX10l is fueled by Epson's DURABrite Ultra ink which is water resistant arid gives brilliant results on both plain and photo papers. Additionally, ,the printer comes with the EasyPrintModule and Easy Photo Print software tools which can help amateurs achieve lab quality equivalent prints.

The printer prints.at a resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi which further enhances the details of photos. Epson boasts about the TX10l being able to print at high speeds of 26 ppm (pages per minute) and 14 ppm in black and color modes respectively, but we did not find this

to be true. We tested the printer using standard documents in both text and in color and got a maximum printing speed of 15 ppm and 6 ppm respectively. A 4
x 6 inch sized photo which took around six minutes to print had excellent print quality but lacked a little depth in the black levels.

Speeds for copying documents were at 35 seconds in mono and 108 seconds in color respectively, as against the company's claim of 3 seconds and 12 seconds respectively.
