    Default HP Deskjet F375 printer

HP is quite a reputed brand in the printer market and that's why consumers always expect value for money products from them. The HP DeskJet F375 MFD is very sturdy in terms of looks. Available in a mix of jet black matte and piano glossy finish, it looks somewhat different from the competitors.

Though it's not the best in the looks department, it is designed quite intelligently to save your precious desk space. We expected a LCD screen though, which is missing at this price. There is neither any pictbridge socket nor any card reader inbuilt
with the device. The paper feeder is placed at the front and you need to open the lid to feed into it.

F375 uses HP's proprietary software HP digital imaging monitor to control everything from the desktop. Installation takes a while, but is pretty painless. One matter of consideration is its size. It is around 300MB of installation which is a plethora of space for several PC's.

We normally expect an HP MFD device to produce good-to-excellent print on both plain and photo papers. And according to the expectations, the F375 produced very crisp output particularly with text. There was no feathering, or ink bleeding found. The photos were good too, with smooth gradations of colour, well represented shades of the main blues, greens and reds in our test image and slightly better than average level of shadow detail.

Rather than the stated speed for black and colour prints, we actually got 4ppm and 3ppm respectively. A photo of A4 size took around 58seconds. The scanning qualities were good though it took 25seconds to scan a picture in 300dpi. Copying quality was not bad either. One monochrome copy took around 26seconds while the colour took 39seconds of time.

Overall, the Deskjet F375 is a good MFD from HP for people who are looking to spend a premium.
