The Canon ImageClass MF4680F is an AIO mono laser printer best suited for busy office environments. This MFD packs a printer, scanner, fax and copier in one single unit thus saving space in the office. The printer is network enabled and can be configured to a LAN with ease. The auto duplex feature adds value as it can save time and user intervention is not required to flip the pages.
The USB feature allows one to print from or scan directly to a pen drive without the need of a computer interface. The 35 page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) makes copying and scanning easy. The onboard facsimile can hold up to 512 pages of fax in case the paper runs out. The build quality is good, but the paper tray seems a bit above average. The control panel has evenly spaced plastic, tactile buttons and the menu system is intuitive and easy to follow. The printer when tested spewed an average 20 pages per minute, while copying was done in less than eight seconds. A two page duplex print takes an average 12 seconds to print. Grayscale linearization tests performed on the printer showed that it can print good graphics. Overall, this printer along with its AIO functions is a great investment for small offices in the long run.
