Printers are in almost each family, and many people have gone through an old printer. The general response to an old or broken printer is to do what is done with all old and broken items, throw them in waste. Though, there are better ways of handling old tools. You could be helping earth, an associate neighbor or wallet, rather than cluttering the landfill.
Recycle
Recycle the printer at Staples, Office Max or Office Depot, along with many other office supply stores. Many of them charge small handling fee of $10. Occasionally they offer motivations, like no handling fee on Earth Day or if you purchase another printer. They may even give refunds if you recycle and purchase a new printer simultaneously. Whether or not there is an incentive, think of recycling printer. It helps earth, and keeps landfills from filling.
Freecycle
Offer it for free on Freecycle. Freecycle is a system that is free to join, and you can post items for people to rise. This is deals with people who are close to house. According to Freecycle's rules, list item for free. Somebody will react when they see item, and together, you will organize pick up. This is simple way to recycle printer. Though, unlike usual recycling, this needs no energy to melt printer down, and it is being utilized in its original form.
Donate
Schools and libraries are frequently underfunded and any donation of office tools will be respected. This needs that printer is in working condition, so it may not apply to all. This is much like Freecycle route, but you will not wait for somebody to react, and you will know who you are giving it to.
