If printer is attached by USB port then open control panel, and then printers and faxes. If printer is shown there, right tick on it, open properties, ports tab, modify it to USB port.

Many printers that present USB printing will organize their own improved printer port. If printer driver doesn’t locate its printer port, one quick method is to uninstall and re-install drivers.
