This probLem usually occurs with oLd, frayed sheets. It's not uncommon for fresh, new sheets to get jammed in the printer. Here's the expLanation for this probLem. Printers use very preciseLy aLigned components with very small gaps between rollers in the paper path. That means sheets must be perfectly flat, and sheet edges perfectly straight.

To avoid such paper jams, ensure that the edges of the papers are perfectly straight with no foLds or frayed edges. Corners must not be dog-eared. Reject a sheet if it is crumpLed or has small tears. Such sheets are sure to get jammed between the roLLers.
