Not able to see my printer

Hello friends, I am using Ubuntu. When I install the Canon IP 1500 all works thoroughly well but I am not able to see my Canon there. I have the installation CD. Not able to use. Please tell me how to do it? Thanks!

To get free from this I have one advice so if you require then you can go for this. You were able to attempt this having your printer on initially to start your Virtual Box. For what it is meaning, 9.04 were able to view my printer but 9.10 do not any count what I have tried so far. The reason is of the particular version of CUPS used in 9.10.
