Default Pentium II 450 MHz processor

As I said, I have a Pentium II 450MHz to 800MHz and the oc ... not for nothing is heated with two fans as this... is maintained between 37 and 39 ° C ... but when I put the "prime95" (not used) and put him in the form "Torture Test" (I understand that just as in the test) and choose the option "small FFTs (maximum FPU stress, fist data in L2 cache, RAM not tested much )"... 350 iterations went hard ... a message that could be followed and testing about 15 times and restart (actually the monitor was black and stopped the system, reboot it was me) ... What happened? I have no idea ... help please! To whether or not this ... worked perfectly and with 600MHz but never passes the prime95 simply worked (which it was removed 800)

I find it hard to believe, by the following:

    1) There are no Pentium II 450 ... the top of the line was P2 400 MHz

    2) Assuming it is a Pentium III 450 MHz, this process operates at 100 MHz FSB and 4.5 multiplier (which could not be changed) ... to go do need a 800MHz FSB 800/4.5 = 177 MHz ... hard to believe that managed to get the fsb a PCChips.

To me that what happens is that the multiplier jumper, processor but ignored the same plate is used to report its initial frequency.

Tight image of cpu-z in order to believe in your OC.

The Pentium ® II processor at 450 MHz, Intel's high performance desktop processor, integrates the best attributes of the P6 micro architecture processors-Dynamic Execution performance, a multi-transaction system bus, plus Intel's MMX ™ Media Enhancement Technology. Pentium II processors are targeted for professionals, avid PC users, gamers and PC, or the Enthusiast / Professional desktop users. In addition, they are targeted for mainstream home and business users, or the Performance desktop PC market. The Pentium II processor also meets the needs of entry-level servers and workstations.

Put the CPUZ screen does not move to the same all the cards were read Photoshop... maybe you touched him with a PII stepping Overclocked, we raised the FSB to 133, made a mod read the procedure change (covering some pins of the process) and increased the Vcore to 2.0 or more, so we can reach almost 100% of overclock (such as 90%, which is a lot), so q is now only missing is q the screen of CPUz.

    Hi

You say you can not change the voltage because the board does not leave you. When you change the multiplier of 4.5 to 8 is that if you're left with an oc of almost 100% without changing the voltage of the processor? That is what I am not clear.

    Greetings.

The Pentium II has the multiplier locked (except the first copies of 233 and 266 MHz, Intel made even when the multi unlocked) ... therefore the process you ignore what your BIOS adjustments.

If you want to OC with that P2, you must raise the FSB to a frequency higher than the standard 100 MHz of processing your ... something that is difficult to achieve with the motherboard you have.

    Greetings

What happens overclockers colleagues, our comrade is just who got the bios and change the multi to 8 and then save and reboot, but did not realize one thing, namely that the process can not take these margins continued with its multi-factory, all you see is 1MHz CO surviving of the 450.
