AMD - X2 Vs X3
We ran Cinebench R10, a benchmark that simulates 3D rendering and the software returned a score of 5,863 for the Phenom X3 8750. We saw a considerably lower score of 3,182 on AMD's sec¬ond fastest dual core, the Athlon X2 6000+. Similarly, PC Mark 2005 yielded 6,314 points for the triple core under test and 4,936 for the dual core Athlon X2 6000+. In both cases, the lower clocked triple core is faster by over 25 percent.

When it comes to multithreaded CPU intensive tasks that these benchmarks simulate, the top of the line triple core is much faster than the fastest dual cores from AMD (the Athlon X2 6000+ is the second fastest). Despite the lower clock speed, the X3 is not a disap¬pointment in gaming either, losing only very marginally to the Athlon 6000+ and in some games, even beating it.
