Thread: Phenom II 555 BE queries

Hello friends,
I am thinking to build a PC. I was advised to use AMD processor. Intel processor also has some similar performance but confused as the rate of Phenom II 555 is half of Intel processor. Can you experts tell me if the above processor is good? I am waiting for your favourable reply.

Intel has huge premium and that's the reason the price is greater than that of phenom II 555. But performance is same as that of Intel processor. Go for it!

I am having the above mentioned processor. It is a high end dual core CPU having overclocking characteristics. Virtually AM3 motherboards now has the unlock of cores in which the 555 BE has 2 cores locked into it. It is a nice processor.
