Thread: What occurs whenever I overclock a processor

I was imagining that what will occurres if I overclock the processor of my PC system. In actual I do not need the solution to this question in technical condition of FSB (Front Side Bus) and QPI (QuickPath Interconnect). I need to familiar the answer to this question in easy words of common concepts. Through overclocking the processor are we raising the frequency, and in which mode the power and frequency associated. I will be expecting for the associated replies.

The raise in the frequency gives the quicker function. For acquiring the higher frequency you have to increase the voltage.
