Default Secure vcore for Core i7-3960X

It looks to me that my Core i7-3960X Extreme Version requires at least 1,44 vcore in order to function stable @4.8ghz. It should be watercooler and temperatures are about 70C. Do you imagine that 1,44v is a bit high for functioning a computer 24/7? Looking for a good suggestion?

AS long as I familiar that the secure voltage would be as similar as the voltage which you can see in Sandy Bridge processors. But it can be small bit more since the name advices that it is an Extreme Version and silicom should be excellent. You can function this processor among 1.4-1.45v vcore voltage. So I imagine that you are fairly well with this value.

I imagine that the 1.44v is a tad high. You are telling that you are functioning that system for 24/7. So if you need to acquire years out from the processor, excellent lower the voltage. But even I think that just you are well with this voltage since you have watecooled system. However if you really expecting forward to function the processor at 4.8 GHz, you could test offset voltage, C states, and Speedstep enabled. These things will assist you to cut down on the time. My processor is at 5 GHz and functioning rock solid.

Many are telling that 1.44V is bad but I do not think so. In my view I think that 1.47V should be well. In my case once I had a 990x die at 1.56V later 2 months. It was folding 24/7. The trouble was it was fairly hot and it did not watercooled system. So it is difficult to tell that whether it was the cause of temperatures or vcore.

At idle the expenditure of Intel i7-3960X with only 138W, 20W to assume apart every search the other two central processing units. Bringing the frequency to 4 GHz, we remember that did not need an gain of the functioning voltage for any central processing unit. We conclude that the efficiency of the Intel central processing unit, still with the example i7-3960X not only confirms what has been seen in function.

As long as I familiar that the core i7-3960X as good as Core i7-3930K central processing unit does not require any kind of BCLK adjustments. These processors are so excellent at overclocking and can be easily overclocked. You only have to raise their clock frequency multiplier. Other than this these processors will too allow you to alter the multiplier utilized for the PC storage frequency.
