From my point of view and more with the times, I stayed with the Pentium D 2.8Ghz although it will surely be a 820 which is heated thing, the reason is that it is dual core, and only one processor of the two power is very similar to any of the other two, and this takes two.

This implies that similar issues will monocore, and the rest will be better simply to manage windows will go fast and loose (W7 just drive it handles better than a dual core one monocore, greater ease).

Well talking to from the experience ofhaving a Pentium D 3GHz and be writing you from a 3.2ghz pentium 4 toI tell you without hesitation even one second put the Pentium D. Whenthey left, they were almost the same because they took advantage ofthe dual core, but now the difference is overwhelming in favor of D,with xp so you will notice, even in the chrome to open tabs.

No doubt the Pentium D dual core, I have a D805 at 2.66 @ 3.22 and is a micro still very satisfactory if you get into very recent games. He also had an Athlon 64 3200 + and in W7, was significantly lower in overall performance, it is roughly the level of an Athlon 64 X2 4400 +, a greeting.

I'll have to drop the Pentium D becauseI have remembered riding the computers that failed Palca Pentium D,so I have to decide between the P4 to 3.0 GHz or the Athlon 64 3200+, given that the board only supports Pentium 4 and the AMD vga pci, that team montarķais?

If a child is to begin, whichever is worth it. I would put the AMD configuration:
    AMD Athlon 64 3200 +
    Geforce 8800
    2 gb ddr 400

And if possible a win 7 32 bit, starting with an operating system "new" that after we take bad vices, you change the social and lost or now that this "free" win 8 because soon it will be on this new social.
