Default Saving text passages for later use in word 2003 and 2007

There are several things for which one requires more or less the same text passages. It would be practical to be able to quickly save these passages in the buffer, to use them in other documents.

That is very easy - at least with Windows XP. First, minimize the program window, so that a free area is visible on the monitor or on the right side of the desktop. Now select the text passage to be saved and pull it using drag and drop to the visible area of the desktop. Windows creates a new file called 'Document scrap', followed by the first words of the extract. Now you no longer need to worry about this document, instead, you can immediately concentrate on the original text. The text extract remains intact in any case, even after you close Word or Windows. As soon as you double-click on the symbol, Word opens and shows the extract. In order to paste it in another document, simply drag the symbol using Drag & Drop from the desktop in the desired text location in the new document.

    NOTE:

In case you save many text passages, the desktop will soon be a mess. In that case, instead of the Desktop, you can also use a directory meant for this purpose in Windows Explorer.
