What are the advantages of XHTML?

I am learning XHTML programming language. But I don't know about the advantages of XHTML. Both these languages are used for web designing but there are little-bit variations in their functionality. If anybody knows the advantages of XHTML over the HTML, then please give me some detail information.

Advantages of XHTML:

• Can be included into a page while XML. This is the modularity.

• The page can then be processed with all the related technologies (XSL, XPath, ...)

• Support for MathML or SVG

Following are various advantages of XHTML when used with CSS:

1. The contents are read by various devices (like monitor, TV, printer, PDA )

2. The contents are accessible the maximum numbers of people.

3. The CSS can simply change the dressing site.

Following are the advantages of XHTMl:

• It can be parsed with a parser easier than for soup of tags, and a lot easier than SGML parser.

• User agents instantly catch errors training.

• It can be combination with other content Namespaces well known (mainly MathML).

• The tools that relate with XHTML are sure of receiving documents well-formed.
