It does not matter what language you take.In 5-10 years, then when you're so far that you can thus think about a project that might be a completely different language currentlySuch games are programmed in any case not from a person, but dozens of people.
For starters, C, C + +, not C # certainly wrong. It has a long tradition, a high prevalence and is basically constantly supplemented with new components. Java does not hurt either.

Ala GTA game development, you can now hit you schonmal safely out of your head.

However companies like Rockstar need for such games several years of development time. Take this alone is currently developing GTA 5, where the "script" for it to include more than 1000 pages. Alone because you can see what is behind these games for a comprehensive story. These will be planned, drawn and three dimensional implementation. And only when this is done followed by the actual programming. Since we start with simple movements on collision queries to a kind of "AI" to "computer opponent" to control.Sorry but I think since you have pretty much taken over with your project.

To even remotely similar to something off the ground you'd have a team of graphic designers and programmers can put together, the first of their craft in beherschen Schalf to the last detail and are second in the position to work as a team. If you do manage to bring along and still the perfect "script" for the game, then you could take it with a little luck to be completed in 2015 as a play put on its feet. But you'd have to really put together a 1A team.

Do it yourself? And you learn to program and before that on one level so you get the basic knowledge no chance! Even a simple 3D Shoter would you in your present stage (zero knowledge) at least 2 - 3 years of your precious free time.
