I think you'll agree with me that the look and feel of something made QT or wxWidgets or any Windows, OSX or Linux does not look like a web page, in addition to html including php, asp or javascript are slow and inefficient compared to eg C + +.

I think the look is more the fault of the developers own technology, compare web languages with desktop language is like comparing bacon to speed, regarding the main topic, it is not as crazy as a web application: XHTML + CSS + Javascript + PHP + MySQL and pull miles.

I've done 99% of desktop and WPF, which allows you to get results very showy, that if a good web designer makes a more colorful than anything desktop.
