Does not show the 4 GB of ram in xp

I understand that for a reason more than anything contemporized, Windows XP was designed to withstand a little over 2 GB of RAM. Now the question I have is that if there is any way or any display the 4 GB of ram I have. Also asked whether if the xp shows only a little over 2 GB of RAM even though you have 4 GB anchored on the plate.

I have exactly the same problem, if you check your bios at capacity in the data there appears 4g total memory and the memory use about 3g, or accessories, system tools, system information.

However, I share your doubts about whether in fact the system in a time of high demand or just uses the 4g is limited as to what shows memory in use.

If anyone can help us would be very helpful, is it true that if you view the system recognizes as the 4G memory usage? or is it a configuration problem in the BIOS?
