Strontium Technology, the largest manufacturer and distributor of memory in Singapore has recently started their operations in India. They have a wide range of DDR2 and DDR3 RAM for desktop PCs and laptops. The SRT2G86U3-0CQ is a 2 GB DDR3 module for desktop PCs targeted at enthusiasts and power users. It comes sandwiched between aluminum heat-spreaders and runs at 1600 MHz with a timing of 9-9-9-24. With a tighter timing of 7-7-7-20 it runs at 1333 MHz, which is very respectable for a DDR3 module.

We installed a pair of these modules in dual-channel mode on the Gigabyte EX58-UD5 with the Intel Core i7-920. We didn't find any noticeable difference in games and applications when we switched over from a pair of DDR3-1066 modules. But overclockers will have a good time with these high speed sticks.
