Default Any rule of thumb for hardware compatibility?

Just probing if there are certain do's and don’ts. I think I have more serious problems than hardware conflicts (of which there are not any noticeable).any suggestion would be highly appreciated.

In that case I would recommend you to take the most recent one which are available in market right now because after 2-3 years they will get out-of-date as you know each day new technology comes in and we favor to go with latest one not without dated once.
