Default Upgrading RAM on XP Home OEM

I want to upgrade ram on my laptop from 1GB to 2GB. I am using generic memory. Will this need reactivation? Any help will be appreciated.

I do not think upgrading ram constitutive reactivation.

There is RAM trigger reactivation in Vista, but if it doesn’t mechanically reactivate, simple describe will repair it.

I also upgraded my RAM from 2GB to 4GB on my system and didn’t have to reactivate. But it should not matter if you are legit.
