Default System not coming up after puting a ram

I put a 2GB single module RAM in my Toshiba Tecra A9 but the screen not appearing; I also noticed that the power button light was blinking with an orange color light also I could hear Fan sound. After that I removed the RAM, Cleaned it up, cleaned-up the RAM slot and even changed it to the second slot same thing happen again.

How I can access the system using single 2GB RAM because I have even tested the RAM on two other systems and it worked just fine. If you are having any suggestions then reply me. It can helpful to me.

What brand of RAM is it? All details are required.

I.e. PC 5200 DDR2 667 RAM is the right RAM for this model.

Does the Toshiba A9 have an F- key for 'Boot options' or Diagnostics? It may have a memory test in the BIOS like a desktop. Or perhaps 'memtest86 or memtest64, depending on your system?

If you have the manual look and see if there is any order for your Ram, like bank "0", or BIOS change that might have to be made.
