Thread: Difference among DDR RAM and SDRAM

I am first year MBA-IT student. In my first sem I have one subject “computer organization and architecture”. In that subject author gives detailed information on computer RAM. but I want more information on difference between DDR and SDRAM. Please help me as soon as possible. Thanks in advanced.

DRAM stands for Dynamic Random Access Memory is used to temporarily store information on PCs. DRAM is build by a lot of cells and every cell is referred to as a bit. A cell contains a capacitor and a transistor. as computer machine language is 1s and 0s, 1 is for active and o is for inactive.

SDRAM stands for Synchronous Random Access Memory. Its speed ratings are in MHz SDRAM was launch in 1996. SDRAM convey each clock count at a particular time.

DDR RAM stands for Double Data Rate Random Access Memory is the same but it s clock count is double. Because of this DDR RAM twice as faster than SDRAM.
