i am very in a confused state as in what DDR RAM I can upgrade with?


MotherBoard


Memory Controller


Currently installed RAM Modules


The motherboard specs shows 400 DDR. I amconfirm that this board has both SD RAM and DDR installed not at the same time.

You are very much bewildered ,your link to presently installed ram modules ,clearly shows 2 sticks of ddr400 ram installed,and it does not take sd ram takes 4x ddr400/333. Just check manual.

Take a glance at the motherboard manual, it will tell you properly what ram you can use. If don't have then download from ASUS on PDF.
