Kingston’s HyperX LoVo-series DDR3 memory permits users to decrease voltage to 1.35 V or 1.25 V so as to save power and allegedly reduce the system temperature. We try the eco-friendly modules to get out if it really makes sense to access undervolted memory.
Much to every segment of the hardware market now has so-called "green" products. These targetted at all of our environmental scrupleses by being "eco-friendly," often attempting to save money by decreasing power consumption. This draws Kingston’s latest HyperX LoVo series, which access typical DDR3 memory speeds at low voltage settings. To test Kingston's eco claims, we tested the KHX1600C9D3LK2/4GX, more easily referred to as the DDR3-1600 2 x 2 GB kit.
