Default RAM rate when OC'ing CPU

I possess an Intel E7200 Core 2 Duo that I bonk OC'd to 3GHz based on 9.5 multiplier and 316 MHz bus zip.

My RAM is 2 GB (2x 1 GB stick) PC6400 DDR2/800. My motherboard states that the RAM is lengthwise at 790 frequencies. I expect this is OK as my discernment is that it should not top 800 MHz

Do I person this setup right? If not, where should I hold my RAM at?

    Thanks,

That's pure. You mightiness try bumping your CPU FSB by a dyad MHz to get to 800MHz as prolonged as its constant currently. If not, zilch out of the fair gushing your ram slightly under clocked. Honorable the nature of storage dividers.

If we don't requirement to increase the CPU oftenness we can ever modification the CPU's multiplier and process the FSB. 8*400 is what I normally go for, its perfect for DDR2 800. Another option we ever get is to manually set the RAM's emf, timings & rate.

This is the Over clocking and Cooling Crossing so I'm deed to say the RAM Frequency can surpass 800MHz. It belike wouldn't stomach more to get up around 1000MHz. I'm wondering if everything is on auto & if you know the rectify timings at the speed you're functioning now.
