    Default Optical Attachment volume control

Hi, I accept an Xfi Titanium affiliated optically to a latest blueprint appropriate AV Receiver. I'm currently application the Creative software to mix all PC complete into DTS. As accepted the alone way to change the aggregate is via the Receiver. However, is there anyhow to accelerate 5.1 optically to the receiver and still change the aggregate at the PC end?

The alone way it appears to get 5.1 optically to my receiver is by enabling DTS or Dolby Digital LIve, contrarily its alone anytime 2 approach via SPDIF. However by enabling DTS or DDL, alternating aggregate etc has no aftereffect on the complete actuality transferred to the receiver.

Do you beggarly the aggregate taskbar icon, you can't change? Have you set the optical accessory in playback options to default?

DDL and DTS compression codecs are the way you get 5.1 encoded over SPDIF, it does not accept the bandwidth otherwise. What you are experiencing is normal. To acclimatize volume, use the Windows aggregate control.

Ah soz, I forgot agenda out bypasses the windows aggregate control, you use the amp for all-embracing akin control. I'm application a 5.1 bureaucracy with alternation out which makes use of the windows aggregate control.
