    Default Really print the screen

I've used Dos for many years and found it very convenient that pressing the Print Screen button did just that sending what was on the screen to the printer. I use the command prompt a lot in Windows and cannot send information to the printer now that it is connected to the computer with USB.

lf you want to simulate the old days of sending the contents of the screen directly to the printer, try installing Gadwin's Print Screen software. This is much more versatile than the Windows Print Screen. It can save the screen to the clipboard, to a file or even directly to the printer.

Once it is installed, there is a small icon in the Notification Area that looks like a monitor with a camera in front. Right-click on this, then left-click on Properties in the menu that appears. Click on the Destination icon in the left-hand column. Left-click in the box labelled 'Copy captured area to Printer' so that a tick appears and then on the Select Printer button.

Make sure the correct printer is listed in the top menu. If it is not, left-click on the small down arrow to show all of the installed printers, then click on the correct printer. Click on the OK button in both windows to save the changes. Pressing the Print Screen button will now send an image ofthe screen to the printer. There is a preview so that you can check what is about to be printed.
