As said earlier, Performance-wise the E6400 is very impressive for business functions as well as for general laptop functions too. The base 2.26Hz processor with 3MB of L2 Cache will satisfy for most of the users, especially if ones work includes lots of email, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications. For those who are looking for more performance select the option of the T9400 costing around $190 and offering 6MB of L2 cache and with a speed of 2.53GHz.
The E6400 was designed comes with an 85-Wh battery with a battery sufficient processor for a long battery life. If one goes for integrated graphics in place of the nVidia Quadro chipset, the battery would last up to 7 hours.
Intel’s GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics is basic and is pretty much advanced over previous integrated solutions. The only solution is the NVIDIA S 160M, costing around $70. Dell also provides the option of the Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 costing about $390
