Windows Vista comes with a nice screen capture utility called the Snipping Tool which allows you to take screen shots in a variety of ways and place them into other programs, save them or email them right from the utility.

Snipping Tool used to take a screenshot, or snip, of any thing on screen and then explain, save, or share image. Just utilize a mouse or tablet pen to take any sort of snips given below:

• Free-form Snip. Sketch an irregular line, like a circle or a triangle, around an object.

• Rectangular Snip. Sketch an exact line by dragging the cursor around an object to form a rectangle.

• Window Snip. Choose a window, like a browser window or dialog box that you want to take.

• Full-screen Snip. Capture the full screen when you choose this sort of snip.

After you take a snip, it is automatically copied to mark-up window, where you can explain, save, or share the snip. It will also include screen shot to clipboard by default so you can simply paste it into other application

To capture a snip

1. Start Snipping Tool by go to Start, All Programs and then Accessories

2. Click the arrow beside the new button, choose a snip type from menu, and then make use of mouse or tablet pen to take a snip.

3. After you have taken the part of the screen which you want or full screenshot of the application it will be located into Snipping Tool window.

To explain a snip just uses a mouse or tablet pen to write on or about the snip using one of the pens or the highlighter.

To save a snip, perform the steps given below:

1. Press Save Snip button.

2. In Save As dialog box and give name for snip

3. Select a place to save snip in

4. Select a file type to save snip like. You can save a snip like an HTML, PNG, GIF, or JPEG file.

5. Click Save.

To share a snip press Send Snip button, and then choose an option from menu. Send it as an email attachment or have it fixed in email itself
