    Default How to Modify a Computer Power Supply

    The power systems of monitor turn off hard disk automatically and put the system on a standby. A power button on piano to right of entry are different type of features. An uninterruptible power supply, or UPS, can also be configured to sound an alarm when the battery is low and to do a defined set of tasks.

    Instructions

    Configure Power Supply

    1. Step 1

    Go to "Start," and click on "Control Panel."

    2. Step 2

    Double-click on the "Power Options" icon.

    3. Step 3

    Click and choose the power scheme appropriate to you from "Power Scheme" drop-down box.

    4. Step 4

    The drop-down box next to "Turn off monitor" and choose after how a lot of hours you want the pc monitor to be mechanically turned off.

    5. Step 5

    Connect on the drop-down box next to "Turn off hard disk" and select after how many hours you want the pc hard floppy to be automatically turned off.

    6. Step 6

    Connect on the drop-down box next to "System reserve and select after how many hours you want the computer to go into the standby mode.

    7. Step 7

    Connect on the "Advanced" tab and choose what you want window XP to do when you press the Power key as of the press the power key on my pc drop-down box.

    8. Step 8

    Choose what you want Windows XP to do when you press the Sleep key from the "When I press the sleep key on top of my pc.

    9. Step 9

    Connect on the "UPS" tab and connect on the "Select" key to select your UPS.

    10. Step 10

    Connect and select a producer in the 'UPS Selection' dialog box.

    11. Step 11

    Choose UPS model and the port on which it is connected, and then click on "Next."

    12. Step 12

    Choose your 'UPS Signal Polarity' and then connect on "Finish." For further
    assistance, refer to your UPS user's manual.

    13. Step 13

    Click on the "Configure" button.

    14. Step 14

    Connect to select the "Enable all notifications" check box.

    15. Step 15

    Connect to select the "Minutes on battery previous to critical alarm" check box and
    then adjust the seconds in the adjoining box.

    16. Step 16

    Click to select the "When the alarm occurs, runs this program" check box.

    17. Step 17

    Click on the "Configure" button.

    18. Step 18

    Connect on the "Browse" button, select the program that you want to be run and then click on "OK."

    19. Step 19

    Click on "OK" and then click on "OK."
