1. Step 1

Open any folder and go to "Folder options" under the "Tools" tab.

2. Step 2

Go to the "View" tab in the "folder options" window and observe if the box "Hide
extension for no file types" is checked. If it is, uncheck it.

3. Step 3

Connect on the file and select "Rename" in the drop-down menu. Change the last few letters, which should be MPG, to say MPEG, and hit "Enter." A message box will pop up; decide. Actually, it was before, and all you did was permit certain program or plans to see that. No converter was necessary.
