CD or disks may be infected with malignant codes such as viruses and spyware, typically contain either software installations or data files. The leading reputable antivirus software, such as Norton Antivirus developed by Symantec and McAfee VirusScan, give straightforward and reliable detection of malignant programs on optical disks. However, the read-only file formats prevent the direct virus removal from CD/DVDs.
Instructions
Norton Antivirus Programs
1. Step 1
The Window Vista account and insert a CD/DVD drive.
2. Step 2
Norton Internet safety or Norton Antivirus and Click "Scan Now."
3. Step 3
Connect "Run Custom Scan" to open the window "Scans."
4. Step 4
Connect "Scan drives." Uncheck all drives but CD or DVD. Click "Scan." If a virus is found, the Norton agenda would try to eliminate it mechanically from a file on the disk. Note that the virus removal is almost always not possible due to a read-only disk format. Make notes on the names of infected files.
5. Step 5
Get rid of a good quality of CD/DVD.
McAfee VirusScan
6. Step 1
Window 7/Vista account and put in a CD/DVD into disk drive.
7. Step 2
Connect "Start" and choose pc to open Windows Explorer.
8. Step 3
Connect on DVD force image choose "Scan for viruses" background menu to open
the main screen.
9. Step 4
Create notes name of any impure files those are found during the scan.
10. Step 5
Eject a good quality of DVD.
