Making backups for main files helps insure you are covered if file damages or lost. Generally backup file is zipped and stored on hard drive, so if you want to recover backup file, you can simply open it and put it in place of original file. Installation procedure does not take much time, as long as you know where you saved backup file.

Instructions

Step 1

Find place of backup file on PC. It can be on individual hard drive, CD or on hard drive.

Step 2

Right click file if it is zipped and choose "Unzip." This run zip software. If file is zipped, you probably have software that can extract original file. If you do not, download free trial version from WinZip. You know file is zipped if folder icon has zipper image on it. If file is not zipped, skip to Step 4.

Step 3

Place desktop as extraction point and tick "Unzip". Backup file is saved to desktop.

Step 4

Shut all windows that are open and go to place of file you want to change with backup edition.

Step 5

Click and drag file into original place from desktop and permit it to copy over. Shut window. The installation is completed.
