Due to latest aspects in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, the files its makes had various extension than those made by PowerPoint 2003. File-storage method has modified, and as case, PowerPoint 2007 files are no longer well suited with PowerPoint 2003. To create distinction, ".ppt" extension became ".pptx" for all new, incompatible files.
